We are pleased to offer this rare 19th Century solid brass religious altar crucifix free standing 3-arm cross made in France and dates back to the 1850’s. This gorgeous sectional cross feature pierced trefoils at each point with an oval medallion marked INRI above the figure of Christ. Below the cross is a hexagonal decoration with a cross on each panel. The stem shows alternating Greek key and dot designs that leads the rest of the way down to the tripod base. Each of the three panels on the base features a large angel with four wings in relief and feet are decorated with thistle flowers and spiky leaves. The craftmanship and details are exquisite on this beautiful piece of history!
