We are pleased to offer this exceptional French Art Deco mantel clock by Fritz Marti, complete with its original pendulum and key. Dating to the early 1900s, this striking timepiece features a finely detailed gilt bronze pheasant sculpture poised atop a tri-colored, highly polished marble base – an elegant, architectural statement for any mantel, console, or library display.
The clock is in working order, keeps time, and runs for approximately one week per winding. It features a bell strike that counts the hour and rings every half hour, adding classic presence and charm.
The movement backplate bears the Fritz Marti clockmaker’s mark, reading:
“Médaille d’Or F. Marti Paris 1900” and is further stamped with the numbers 116 (top) and 307 (bottom). The original blue paper label inside the back door is present and has been taped back in place.
