Late 19th Century French Gilt Bronze & Porcelain Lion Head Pedestal Centerpiece
We are pleased to offer this stunningly elegant French centerpiece pedestal mounted bowl from the late 19th century. The details are exquisite featuring gilt bronze sculptured decorated handles with a lion head on each side. The bowl has a beige glaze with craquelure and mounted beautifully on an ornate bronze pedestal. This statement piece is very heavy (weighs 32 pounds) and measures 24” long (handle to handle) x 16” diameter x 18” high including pedestal. Unable to identify the workshop for there are no makers mark or hallmark visible.
Condition Report: Very good condition with no repairs, chips or cracks. Minor surface scratches and light patina exist (see last two pictures for closer view) but nothing significant, we only mention for accuracy.
