We are pleased to offer this impressive rare and original ships bell from the 161-meter commercial cargo vessel “Crystal Ace.” This incredible piece of history includes the original clapper and has a beautiful clear tone for a vessel of this impressive size.

Provenance: This vessel “Crystal Ace” was launched in February of 1983 in Kobe, Japan and was built as a car carrier delivering Japanese cars to Europe and European cars to Asia. Crystal Ace was last sighted on July 8, 2013 and currently lies underwater at latitude 52.82 degrees north by longitude 46.68 degrees west.

In addition to the makers marks from the foundry that manufactured the bell there is also a very detailed manufacturers ID tag affixed to the bell showing manufacturer date of December,1982 and details of the foundry who originally cast the bell in Japan.

Any collector would be proud to display this heavy, solid brass authentic ships bell from a commercial vessel that was lost at sea. This piece of history is truly a rare find and is certain to make a great gift or nautical artifact collectors’ item.

Dimensions: 11.75” diameter (bottom) x 10.5” in height and weighs 23 pounds.

Condition Report: This nautical treasure shows some minor signs of being underwater. The exterior surface is in beautiful condition reflecting a beautiful unpolished brass exterior patina while the interior has some corrosion on the clapper as it appears to be a dis-similar metal other than brass.
