French Drop Front Carved Solid Oak Secretary Bureau Desk with Key

We are pleased to offer this delightful secretary desk with key crafted exclusively from fine French oak. This highly carved drop front desk has a lovely foliate design that carries through the two lower dovetailed drawers and four carved cabriole legs. It features a subtly scrolled apron, contoured drawer facade with cast brass pulls, and a slant front desk opening that is exceedingly attractive when closed, and exceptionally functional when opened to reveal the interior desk area with cubby holes and drawers. The top opens to five dovetailed drawers with round knobs and writing area. Comes with key that works for drop down and both drawers. Circa 1900’s.
