We are pleased to offer this rare 19th Century solid brass Gothic revival altar crucifix 3-arm cross made in France dating back to 1850. A gorgeous sectional cross featuring pierced trefoils at each point with an oval medallion marked INRI above the figure of Christ. Below the cross is a hexagonal decoration with a cross on each panel. The stem shows alternating Greek key and dot designs that leads the rest of the way down to the tripod base. Each of the three panels on the base features a large angel with four wings in relief and feet are decorated with thistle flowers and spiky leaves.

Dimensions: 31” high x 12” wide

Provenance: Acquired from Horchow’s in 2002.

Condition Report: Very good condition with minor wear consistent with age.
